Youth Summer Sailing & Racing

We offer summer sailing programs to for youth ages 7-18 years old.

Join us and grow throughout the years! We have 1/2 day programs for our youngest sailors all the way up to adventure sailing or travel racing for our most experienced sailors. 

High School & Middle School Sailing

We pride ourselves in building and connecting with the community and Middle/High School sailing is an opportunity for local youth to get involved in Fall and Spring sailing.

Adult Sailing Via Community Boating

Sailing is a sport that can start at any age and we are here to provide adult sailing education for the novice and the most experienced sailors looking to brush up their skills.

Racing (Interclub and Regattas)

Throughout the summer SBJSA hosts Regattas and Racing Opportunities for Youth and Adults.

Counselors (Instructors) in Training

We have a tradition of training our sailors all the way through learning the skills needed to become a knowledgable and safe sailing instructor. Similar to an internship our most experienced youth sailors who are interested in becoming a counselor have an opportunity to spend a summer or two in training.

This program is a great stand-alone for honing leadership skills or is the necessary step towards applying to be an instructor. in the future at SBJSA.​

Sailing Instructor Certification

Every year SBJSA partners with US Sailing to host the US Sailing Level 1 Sailing Instructor Certification. This is a requirement for all of our instructors to complete. However, we welcome anyone from the community who is interested in this training to join.
