Fundraising events are critical to our annual financial planning at SBJSA and represent a key ingredient in keeping both our camp tuition fees for families at affordable rates and helping to fund necessary maintenance and improvement projects. They are also important to the ongoing legacy and feeling of family that comes with being part of the SBJSA community.

One of our major fundraising events every summer, and the longest running event by far, is our traditional and much anticipated ANNUAL BBQ. It’s regularly attended by over 225 people. A delicious finger-lickin’ dinner of BBQ ribs and chicken is served under the big tent, right on our grounds during the 3rd week in July when summer is in full swing. Refreshments are available on site, including those with alcohol served close by on the grounds of our neighbor, Sodus Bay Yacht Club. Throughout the early evening and dinner, tickets are sold by SBJSA staff members for an outstanding assortment of raffle prizes awarded after dinner, including a cash 50-50 drawing!

The food is excellent, the socializing is energizing and participating in the whole event is just plain fun and satisfying, knowing that all net proceeds support SBJSA programming!
