Annual Pancake Breakfast
Please join us.
For decades, SBJSA has proudly hosted its annual Sunday Morning Pancake Breakfast in partnership with the Sodus Bay Yacht Club during their celebrated Challenge Cup Regatta.

This cherished tradition is far more than breakfast — it’s a gathering of generations, a reunion of sailors, and the unofficial kickoff to another exciting season on Sodus Bay.

A Morning Built Around Sailors
The grills fire up early so racers can fuel up before heading out to the starting line. After a long night of regatta festivities, competitors are ready for hot coffee, fresh pancakes, and a strong start to race day.
As the fleet prepares for the course, families and friends gather shoreside — sharing stories, reconnecting with old shipmates, and welcoming new members into the SBJSA community.
Welcoming New Families
For families joining SBJSA for the first time, the Pancake Breakfast offers a relaxed and friendly introduction to the organization. It’s a chance to:
-
Meet Board Members and staff
-
Connect with veteran sailing families
-
Learn what’s new for the upcoming season
-
Experience the spirit that makes SBJSA special
Seeing the docks buzzing early in the season helps new sailors imagine the summer ahead.
Powered by Volunteers
This event is made possible by the dedication of the SBJSA Board of Directors, our staff members, and generous community volunteers. Their early morning effort reflects the heart of our organization — sailors supporting sailors.

More Than Breakfast

The Pancake Breakfast is about tradition, camaraderie, and celebrating the shared history of sailing in Sodus Bay. It strengthens the bond between SBJSA and the broader sailing community while reminding us why we gather here each summer.
We look forward to seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and kicking off another unforgettable season together.
