BSA/GSA & SEA SCOUT PROGRAMS

SBJSA Community Boating will provide area scouts and scout leaders the venue and facilities to accomplish a multitude of scouting endeavors and rank advancement opportunities for boys and girls. With a waterfront and fleet of over 60 boats and personal watercraft, SBJSA can tailor a weekend or weekday schedule for which scouts can either work toward a merit badge or hold a scouting event. With the assistance of our Director and staff, area scouting leaders can develop activities not usually available in the region for specific scouting needs. Sailing, motor boating, rowing, kayaking and canoeing are just a few examples of the badges that can be earned at SBJSA.

In addition to the traditional BSA merit badges, SBJSA is eager to support the goals and program offered by the Sea Scout program as well. The potential for bIg boat programming and keelboat sailing is also an opportunity. Don’t know how SBJSA can help your scouts? Then contact us for more information and scheduling options.

SBJSA Community Boating is here as a resource for scouting organizations that work with all youth to further their program potential. Lake Ontario and Great Sodus Bay, our region’s greatest water treasures, are accessible for adventure and learning through the facilities and fleets at SBJSA.

"Contact SBJSA Executive Director, Laurie Alverio (executive@sbjsa.org), for furthur details and scheduling opportunities."
