Laser Racing Program

Club 420 Racing Program

After completion of the LTS and LTR programs a camper (120lbs or less and usually 15years or under) is eligible to become part of the SBJSA Opti Racing Travel Team. The racing teams travel to area yacht clubs and compete with other campers their age. The teams even compete in the US Sailing Jr. Olympics at Rochester Yacht Club.

Laser Racing requires a camper to be 125 -160 lbs for the Laser Radial and 160=LBS for full-rig Laser competition.

Campers train and practice at SBJSA each week and travel one day a week to another host club for an Interclub event. Fun, travel, and healthy competition, foster long lasting friendships among SBJSA racing sailors.
