* Beach Day - Sail to Sodus Point. Picnic lunch is provided for the campers.
* Big Boat Day - Parent's / Friends of SBJSA "day cruise" with campers aboard large sailboats.
* Crazy Outfit Day - no explanation needed!
* Treasure Hunt Day - Sail to markers that have clues left under them.
* Parent's Day - Last day of camp. A chance to share your child's progress and Awards!
Level I - Optimist sailboats. Sailors learn basic sailing technique, water safety, basic knots, and seamanship.
Level II - Optimist sailboats. Sail instruction concentrates on upwind sailing, tacking, and gybing.
Level III - Laser and JY-15 sailboats. Sailors fine tune boat handling skills and sail adjustment. Single handed and crewed instruction.
Level IV - Laser, JY-15, and J/24 sailboats. Classes focus on spinnaker sailing, navigation skills, cruising and racing.
Red Cross instruction for all levels of swim ability is part of each day at SBJSA. All sail and swim instructors hold current Red Cross Life Guard certification. Parent Orientation is planned for those parents of new students to SBJSA and for all who wish to attend.
